Elon Musk sells his latest home, a 47-acre estate in California

Elon Musk appears to have found a buyer for what he says is his last remaining home.

Musk accepted an initial offer for his vast estate outside San Francisco, according to a Zillow’s list for the property. The property is listed as a “contingent” which means that the seller has accepted an offer but is still negotiating the terms of the sale.

The 47-acre property in Hillsborough, California near San Francisco was built around 1912 and acquired by billionaire Tesla in 2017. The mansion has 16,000 feet of interior space, including seven bedrooms and 10 bathrooms. It also has a leather-walled library, an expanded kitchen equipped for a private chef, a cocktail lounge, and nearly 20-foot ceilings.

The property offers San Francisco Bay views, expansive lawns and a landscape irrigation reservoir. Between the carports and a garage, there is space for 11 cars.

The listing agent, Brent Gullixson, did not immediately return a request for comment on the details of the sale. The latest price was $ 31,990,000, but the final sale price is not yet known.

Musk has been on sale for more than a year. In 2020, it is engaged to “not own a home” and went on to dump several multimillion dollar homes in California. Musk is known for his great promises, but it looks like he’s doing well with this one.

In June, when the Hillsborough house sold for $ 37.5 million, Musk called it his “last house left.” He says he lives in a small cheap house in Texas that he rents from his own rocket company, SpaceX.

Musk, the richest person on Earth, has repeatedly stated that he wants to reserve as much capital as possible to help humans colonize Mars.
