The Marvel Cinematic Universe has gotten to a point where even the best Avengers are given their own OTT series. It’s Marvel keeping up with the times as they begin to navigate the world of media after the pandemic. COVID has changed many things in the industry and the transition from a film-based to an OTT-based universe is immediately evident. In this same year, Marvel released three series and is now ready to release another one with the main Avenger as the headliner.
Hawkeye will come on Disney + on November 24, just in time for Christmas. We received a trailer for Eye from Falcon and now we think the series will be an explosive addition to Marvel’s roster. But the most interesting part is that fans have noticed a connection with Daredevil in Hawkeye.
Read on to find out more about this.
There is a snippet in the trailer that solidifies this theory about a Daredevil connection. You see, we see the image above in the trailer which is rumored to be of Alaqua Cox’s Echo. Many of you may not know this, but Echo isn’t a comic book character from Eye of Falcon. In fact, he’s a supporting character for Daredevil, which is pretty cool. This because Hawk eye is set in New York, which is Daredevil’s playground.
There isn’t much going on in Hell’s Kitchen without Daredevil finding out. Man is possessed by the spirit of justice. He proved it during his short streak. There is now a character in the Hawkeye trailer that traces his origins back to the Daredevil comics. It makes us think that the people at Marvel Studios are trying to bring Murdock back.
Who is Eco?
Echo is a deaf superhero who works much like Daredevil himself. While our hero has bat-like senses, this particular femme fatale has photographic highlights. She is deaf from birth but she possesses these amazing abilities that allow her to ascend to any normal human being. She was the daughter of a thug called Crazy Horse (Willie Lopez) who was killed by Wilson Fisk (Kingpin). Her father died leaving a bloody imprint on the deaf girl’s face and asked Kingpin to take care of her daughter. The villain obeyed when he came to the conclusion that the girl has incredible skills and gave her the care and training she needed. She was soon regarded as one of the most skilled pianists in the world, a skill she developed simply by observing others.
Eventually, she was brought back by Kingpin and sent to Matt Murdock. Wilson Fisk had planned to send his adopted daughter to expose Murdock’s weakness. This was done by making sure Maya Lopez aka Echo believed Fisk was a good person. Soon Matt and Maya fell in love and began an affair without Kingpin’s knowledge. The crime lord then sent Echo to hunt down Daredevil. Her logic was that the gifted girl could outwit and outwit the vigilante. Fisk was right in her estimation as Maya learned about all of the Daredevil movies by watching a tape of her and Bullseye’s fight. Furthermore, he also understood that the hero could fight better in the dark. She then she lured Daredevil into an arena where his heightened senses were useless.
Daredevil connection in Hawkeye
This allowed Echo to overpower the hero and claim victory. She would have killed the hero if she hadn’t realized that Matt is behind the mask. It was an enlightening moment for heroin. After this confrontation, Matt was able to correct Maya’s misconceptions about Fisk and the pair defeated the Kingpin together. Maya even blinded the villain with a gunshot to the face. This is all very dramatic, but it also shows Echo’s importance in Daredevil’s larger story. With such an important character that she makes her debut in Eye from Falcon it’s almost confirmed that Matt will show up sooner or later.
More interestingly, one is said to be in development series Echo Disney + which will prove that Marvel is not done with these characters yet. We could get the triumphant return of Matt Murdock, The Punisher and Wilson Fisk with the series Hawk eye . What do you think of this Daredevil connection in the trailer for Eye of Falcon?
