Genshin Impact How to unlock Aloy as a playable character

Unlocking Aloy is a very simple process. For starters, it’s currently only available to players on PlayStation consoles, although it will arrive on mobile devices at a later date. Players will already need to be or reach Adventure Rank 20 during Update 2.1 and the upcoming Update 2.2. Once you reach that rank, you will receive Aloy via the Genshin Impact in-game system. It’s that easy! With the addition of Aloy, the character roster in Genshin Impact reaches 41 characters.

The skills, talents and abilities of Genshin Impact Aloy

Aloy is a five-star character considered the “Savior of another world”. He wields his Predator Bow with Cryo abilities that reflect his archery skills from his own games.

  • Dawn Prophecies: The Aloy’s elemental explosion. He throws a Cryo Power Cell and hits it with an arrow, dealing AoE Cryo damage.
  • Frozen Wilds: Aloy’s elementary skill. Empower Aloy and allies, debuff enemies, and deal Cryo damage by dispersing into Chillwater Bomblets. If a frozen bomb or ice water bomb hits an enemy, it suffers a debuff and Aloy gains a stack of coils, increasing his damage.
  • Priority Combat: Aloy Talent. Allows the whole group to benefit from increased damage via coil stacks.
  • Raging Ice: an effect Aloy gets when she gets four stacks of reels. Converts normal attack damage to cryo damage
  • Strong hit: Aloy passive talent. He steadily increases his Cryo damage bonus.

Aloy’s attack also increases by 66 when using her Predator Bow. This bow also grants Aloy a 10% increase in normal and charged attack damage for 6 seconds whenever she deals cryo damage. To get a look at some of these skills in action, you can check out Aloy’s character demo below:

Outside of Genshin Impact and the world of Teyvat, Aloy’s next main adventure will come in the form of Horizon Forbidden West. Although it was originally scheduled to launch at some point in the Holiday 2021 range, it has been slightly canceled due to the need for further refinement during the ongoing pandemic. The release date is currently scheduled for February 18, 2022 on PS4 and PS5.
