This simple Zoom makeup it can protect your privacy or hide a messy room from colleagues during your next video conference call by allowing you to blur the background and hide your private objects around you.
Let’s say you have a Zoom meeting, but your normal home workspace is busy or worse, a mess. You don’t have time to clean it up or to find a neutral space that keeps privacy to set up and panic creeps in. Don’t worry – you have options built right into Zoom to hide the space behind you – background blur.
This easily activated option can keep your space private or make cluttered rooms indeterminately blurry, and is available in Zoom right now.

How to blur the background on Zoom before a meeting
If you don’t want to use a virtual wallpaper during a Zoom call, there’s no reason you need to show your personal space. With Zoom open, click on the gear in the upper right corner of the window, which will open the Inspector window.
With Settings open, click Wallpapers and Filters. On the screen that appears, simply click the Blur button and watch the world behind you dissolve into an amorphous haze.
Blurring objects during a meeting
If you decide to blur the background mid-call, you’re in luck, as that’s a simple task too.
From the main meeting screen, look at the bottom bar (you may have to move your mouse to make it appear), where you should see a button labeled Stop Video with a small arrow at the top in the corner. Click the arrow, then click Video Settings.
