How to change the caller screen on Android

If you’re tired of looking at the same caller screen every time you get a call, there are plenty of ways to deal with this boredom. One method many users tend to try is using a third party dialer app by replacing the native dialer.

However, if you are like me and don’t want to replace your dialer app, there is a way to change the caller screen while using the default Phone app. So, before receiving another call, let’s see how to change the caller screen on Android. Let’s start!

Change caller screen on android

Most phones do not have a native option to change or change the caller screen. Then, we will use a third party app that allows you to easily change it with multiple templates or use your own photo. First, download the app Vani Caller Theme from the Play Store. Now open the app from the main menu.

When you open the app for the first time, you will need to grant the app some permissions for it to work properly. Press allow when asked for storage permissions, enable viewing on other apps and a few others. When finished, you will be automatically redirected to the app home page.

Vani Caller Theme

On the home page you can find all groups of themes, such as abstract, live wallpapers, themes and finally a custom photo option. Tap on any of these theme groups . You will see a list of different models that you can choose from. For enable a model to replace the caller screen, tap the + sign at the bottom as shown in the image below.

After tapping the + sign, the caller screen template will show you a preview. This is exactly what the caller’s screen will look like when you receive a call. You have two options on this screen. You can tap the set for all to make it the universal caller screen for any incoming call or tap the contact + sign at the bottom to select a contact.

The second option is for anyone who likes to insert one custom photo on caller screen . To do it, tap the add your photo only option from the main screen. Now open the gallery from the pop-up menu and choose an image of your choice.

You can also set the caller theme to random by enabling the random theme option from the home screen

If you scroll through the caller themes, you notice that some themes are blocked. You can unlock them by upgrading to the premium version of the app. It’s available at $ 0.5 / month, $ 1.5 / 3 months, and a yearly subscription for $ 6. A premium version also removes the ads, however, I found the UI mostly ad-free.
