How to change the page size in Gmail to view more or less emails at a time

Gmail is one of the most popular and widely used email services out there. As such, it has a number of settings that users can play with to perfectly tailor their email account to their needs.

One of these settings is the number of email conversations displayed on each page, in other words, how much you can scroll through before having to move to the next page to see older emails.

For some people, the default view on Gmail is perfect the way it is. For others, who receive dozens of emails a day, it may be too small. And for those who use slow computers, it’s probably a little too big.

Fortunately, it’s easy to change the page size in Gmail, using any Internet browser.

How to change the page size in Gmail

1. Open Gmail in your internet browser and, in the upper right corner of the screen, click the Settings icon. It looks like a gear.

2. A “Quick Settings” menu will appear. At the top, click the “View All Settings” button to access the full Settings menu.

3. Next to where it says “Maximum page size”, click the drop-down menu and select the number of email conversations you want to appear per page.

  • The default number is 50 emails per page. The more you allow, the fewer pages you will have in total. The less you allow, the faster your pages will load.

4. Scroll down to the bottom of the menu and click “Save Changes” to apply the new settings.
