Oops! You placed an order on Amazon, but after placing it, you realized that you selected the wrong shipping address. That box of cashews you wanted won’t do you any good if it’s shipped to your parents’ house. So what are you doing now?
Well, as long as Amazon hasn’t started processing your order yet, you can always cancel it. There is also an option in the “Reason for cancellation” drop-down menu that says “Shipping address must be changed”.
Once the order is canceled, you can simply enter it againthis time with the correct address.
However, if the order is being shipped from Amazon and hasn’t left the warehouse, there is an even easier way to solve this conundrum.
Since Amazon itself is shipping it and the information doesn’t need to be sent to a third party, you can just go in and change the address.
If you want to change the shipping address on an Amazon order you have already placed, you will need to log into the website on your desktop.
Here’s how to do it.
How to change the address on your Amazon order
1. Log into Amazon on your Mac or PC, then click “Returns and Orders” in the menu bar at the top right.
2. Find the order you need to change and in the upper right corner of the box, click the hyperlink that says “Order details“.
3. Under the current shipping address details, click “Edit“.
4. Select or enter the correct address.
