How to delete Amazon history and disable tracking
If you’re trying to find a gift for someone who has access to your Amazon account, your browsing history can be a dead giveaway.
However, you have the option to clear the history or delete individual items from it, as well as the ability to disable tracking, via your account.
Here’s what you need to know to do it.
How to delete Amazon browsing history
You can delete items from your browsing history one by one or you can delete all items at once.
On the desktop:
1. Go to the Amazon website and log into your account if necessary.
2. Hover the cursor up Accounts and lists at the top right of the page and click Browsing history in the drop-down menu.

3. The your history will appear on the next page.
4. If you want to remove individual items from the history, click the button Remove from view next to the items you want to remove.

5. To clear your browsing history, click the down arrow next to Manage history at the top right and select the button Remove all items from view .

On the phone:
1. Open the Amazon Shopping app on yours iPhone, iPad or Android and log in if necessary.
2. Touch the icon of the profile in the menu below.

3. Select the your account .

4. Scroll down to the section Personalized content and touch Browsing history .

5. You will see your browsing history on the next page.
6. To delete individual items, tap Remove from view .

7. To clear the history, tap Manage then Remove all items from view.

How to disable Amazon browsing history tracking
You should know that turning off browsing history tracking will also affect your Prime view history.
On the desktop:
1. Go to the Amazon website and log into your account if necessary.
2. Hover the cursor up Accounts and lists at the top right of the page and click Browsing history in the drop-down menu.
3. Click the down arrow next to Manage history at the top right and disable the option Enable / disable history .

On the phone:
1. Open the Amazon Shopping app and tap the icon of the profile in the menu below.
2. Touch Your account .
3. Scroll down to Personalized content and touch Browsing history .
4. Touch Manage .
5. Alternate the history On / Off button off .
