How to submit video files on Google Meet
You can present a video from both the browser and the app version of Meet. Follow these steps:
From the computer
You open Google Meet and click on the tab New meeting .
Click on the option Start an instant meeting .
Click the button Participate now and join the meeting.
Click the button Submit now and you will see three options. Submit yours full screen , a window or a card .
Now keep in mind that you need to choose your presentation medium based on the source of your video. So if you want to submit a local video from your computer, select the option A window .
The video will be visible as a separate window which you then need to click to select. Then click the button Share .
You will now be able to present the video via Google Meet.
If you want to submit a video from YouTube or another website, you must first open the YouTube video / website link in your browser.
Go back to your Google Meet and click Present now, from here, click on the option A Tab .
Click on the link you want to present, then click the button Share .
The YouTube video will now play for meeting attendees when requested.
From the phone
Start the Google Meet app on your phone.
Tap the button New meeting
Now select the option Start an instant meeting .
Tap the icon of the three-point menu bottom right.
Select the option Share screen .
Grant Google Meet permission by tapping the option Start sharing .
Now go to the video you want to play and it will be visible to the rest of the meeting attendees from a separate tab and will play for the audience.
How to present videos on Google Meet with audio
Usually, audio is presented along with video, but if attendees cannot hear audio, it is very likely that audio was not enabled during the meeting. Just before clicking the share button, make sure your presentation audio has been enabled.
In the case of the Meet App, just make sure the Meeting audio is set to Speaker and that the video is presented with audio.
How to present videos on Google Meet without audio
Simply disable the Presentation Audio tab in the case of the browser and the video will be presented to the participants without any kind of audio.
In the case of the app, tap the option Audio muted and the video will be presented without any form of audio.
