Most Instagram posts created by other accounts can be shared as an Instagram story for your followers. This is the only official way to share a post made by other people on Instagram and is popular for its simplicity and the way it connects to the original creator.

  1. Open the Instagram app on your iOS or Android device and locate the Instagram post you want to share.

  2. Tap the icon of paper airplane > Add posts to your story .

Some accounts may have the sharing option disabled, but you shouldn’t encounter this too often.

  3. The post will now appear embedded in a new Instagram story. Now you can add the usual GIFs, text and music.

  4. Tap La your story to post as a new Instagram story.
