How to tame a panda in Minecraft

During your adventures in Minecraft , you can see many things: hidden places, underground fortresses, underwater temples and creatures of all kinds. Recently, however, you noticed a new animal roaming the jungle in this video game: a Panda.

Excited about its existence, you will surely want to raise one, so that it can live in the company of the other animals in your shelter.

How do you say? It is so and you would like to have some “advice” on how to tame a panda in minecraft ? First, I will give you some information about these animals, so that you know everything you need to take care of them.

Below I’ll explain where and how to find them and I’ll give you some tips for feeding and mating them. Finally, if you want to bring pandas to your shelter, I’ll show you a quick way to do it.

How to tame a panda in easy Minecraft

Before I tell you about how to tame a panda in minecraft I want to give you some information about this curious creature, introduced in the game by the version 1.8 (Bedrock Edition) me 1.14 (Java Edition) .

You need to know that pandas can only be found in the jungle biome Close to bamboo , of which they are greedy. They are not easy to find and can be “detected” individually or in pairs. In general, they are passive animals, so if you get close to them they will not attack your avatar. However, they can have different personalities.

You can find pandas lazy , do not interact in any way with the avatar; the aggressive , who defend themselves in the event of an attack. Panda fearful , which avoid the player and any hostile creatures. THE brilliant rolling on the ground, ei weak , who sneeze continuously. You can easily recognize a panda’s personality by the expression she has on her face.

A trait introduced with pandas is that which refers to the genetic traits that can be passed on to cubs. Each panda has “genes” that carry the personality characteristics that I have indicated in the previous lines. When two pandas mate, the predominant gene is passed on to the cub, with the possibility that it may mutate, creating a different personality.

Now that you have all the basic information about Minecraft pandas, it’s time to see how to find one in the game world, feed it and follow it to your shelter: you will find everything explained in the following chapters of the guide.

How to train a panda in Minecraft

If you want to know how to train a panda in minecraft, Unfortunately I must warn you that these creatures cannot be ridden or tamed, but they will still be happy to follow you if you feed them.

However, before delving into the subject, you should identify one bamboo jungle : a biome not very common in the world of Minecraft and therefore difficult to find.

Generally, the jungle spawns near the desert or al Sabana so if you are in one of these biomes, you may have a chance to stumble upon it.

If you want to make it easier, you can use the command / locate Jungle_Pyramid at chat, which will allow you to easily locate the coordinates of the Jungle temple closest to your location. So just use the command / teleportation [coordinate] to get to the jungle immediately.

If you want to know more about how to enable cheats in Minecraft and how to use the commands I have indicated, you can consult this guide of mine, taking care to replace the strings indicated with those I suggested in the previous lines.

When you get to the forest pay attention to the surrounding vegetation, as you have to identify the bamboo sticks . In fact, it’s among the bamboos where you’ll have the best chance of seeing a Panda . If luck turns in your favor, you will find some.

What you need to do now is collect some bamboo , using your hands, and equipping it in a quick slot. Bamboo in hand, approach a panda, hoping you haven’t met one with a lazy personality. If not, the panda will approach your avatar, waiting for you to feed him

To feed it, interact in the panda with the bamboo Equipped and Ready – You will see hearts surrounding the creature, indicating that the panda is happy you fed him.

As already mentioned, you cannot put a leash on the panda or even a saddle on the back to guide it. The panda will continue to follow you if you have bamboo equipped or will stay close regardless of your presence.

If you have found a pair of pandas, you may find them mating. However, you must first make sure that there are at least eight bamboo blocks around them – if this condition is met, just feed them and wait a few moments. A panda cub will be available with the parents.

How to bring a panda to the shelter

Since the jungle biome can be very far from your shelter, being followed by a panda could be a very long and tedious task, with the risk of encountering many dangers along the way.

In fact, since you can’t ride it or keep it on a leash, a plausible solution would be to lure the creature towards you with some bamboo .

You can understand that this can take a long time if you are several thousand blocks from your shelter. So what I can recommend is to bring the panda with one boat to your shelter

In case the jungle is not connected to your shelter by a stream, you can build channels simply by digging the ground (even a single block of depth is sufficient) and then pouring water into it with a bucket, so that you can then sail by boat .

If, in the meantime, you are concerned that the panda may escape or, worse, that hostile animals will kill it, you can build a small enclosure or shed to protect it.

Once this is done, you need to place the boat under the panda’s feet to force him to climb. The boat does not necessarily work only on the surface of the water, but you can also use it on land. Obviously in the latter you will notice that the movement speed is very low, but at least you can go to the watercourse without necessarily having to be followed by the panda.

If all went according to plan, the panda will be on the boat and then you will have to navigate the canal until you reach your shelter. When you have reached your destination, to lower it, you simply have to break the boat.

My advice is to use your hands, because with tools you would also risk hitting the panda. Now all you have to do is let them follow you, bamboo in hand, to his enclosure.

You can do this with other pandas too, by taking them to your shelter, in the enclosure you have prepared for them. Make sure you plant bamboo inside the enclosure so these creatures can reproduce too, as I explained in the previous chapter.
