iPhone 12 Pro and Mini: here is how many gigs of Ram they have

It appears that, along with another significant upgrade to the A-series processor, Apple has decided to add more RAM for some iPhone 12 models as well.

MacRumors is was able to take a look at the plist files in the latest beta of Xcode 12.1, which revealed the RAM specs for the iPhone 12 line upon publication. Unsurprisingly, it’s the Pro models that offer more RAM under the hood, with the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini both sticking to the amount of RAM Apple used last year in the iPhone 11 line.

These plist files have been accurate in the past, so there’s no reason to think they wouldn’t be now. And, according to the information at hand, the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max come with 6GB of RAM. Meanwhile, the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini both boast 4GB of RAM.

And if that’s not enough, as noted in the original report, a recent Geekbench result for the iPhone 12 Pro corroborates the 6GB of RAM discovered in the plist.

As mentioned above, the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro both had 4GB of RAM.

The inclusion of the A14 Bionic and the increase in RAM should equate to an even more powerful phone. Which makes sense, considering all the things Pro models can do, like recording and editing in Dolby Vision HDR directly on phones.
